In the past week I have made a commitment to lose some weight. In the short term (3 months), I will lose 30lbs and in the next year I will lose approximately 100lbs. At the same time, I intend to greatly increase my lean muscle mass and aerobic capacity.
I've done this before in younger days. I know what sacrifices must be made and I know how difficult the first month is. I also know of the satisfaction that comes from taking control of your body and how the initial "sacrifices" quickly produce several motivations to continue.
Blogging about my experiences will help me stay on track - and maybe inspire one or two other people out there as well.
Let the bloviating commence.
